As a new church preparing for its 2027 launch, Zeal needed more than a logo. They needed a visual identity capable of communicating the church's biblical foundation, cultural relevance, and vision for gospel renewal throughout the community.

A brand built around biblical conviction.

At the heart of Zeal Bible Church is a simple but powerful framework:

Know the Word.
Live the Word.
Preach the Word.

These words became an important foundation for the visual identity and the way the brand communicates. Zeal's foundational Scripture, Titus 2:14, describes a people who are “zealous for good works,” giving the church a clear theological foundation for its name and mission.

For Design Church, the challenge was to translate that conviction into a brand that felt bold, energetic, biblical, and culturally relevant without sacrificing the seriousness of the church's message.

The identity uses a distinctive typographic system and a warm, energetic color palette built around orange, red, deep navy, and soft off white. The combination gives Zeal a recognizable visual presence that can work equally well across Sunday environments, digital communications, apparel, signage, campaigns, and community initiatives.

Creating a Flexible Church Identity

Rather than designing a single logo and stopping there, we developed a system of visual expressions for Zeal.

The identity includes the primary Zeal Bible Church wordmark, the ZBC monogram, and the distinctive +ZEAL expression. Each mark gives the church another way to communicate while maintaining a cohesive visual language.

This flexibility becomes particularly valuable for a church plant. Before launch, a church is communicating in dozens of places: launch team materials, social media, community events, apparel, digital campaigns, signage, presentations, and eventually the Sunday gathering itself.

The brand needed to be able to move with the church.

Designing for the Mission Field

Zeal's vision extends beyond Sunday gatherings.

The church is being planted specifically to serve Fort Washington, with a desire to see gospel renewal, stronger biblical engagement, multiethnic leadership, discipleship, and additional churches established throughout the surrounding region.

That meant the visual identity needed to feel at home outside the traditional church environment.

We designed the brand to have enough personality to connect with the broader community while remaining unmistakably rooted in Scripture.

From environmental graphics and street level signage to apparel and digital content, the identity gives Zeal a consistent way to show up wherever the church's mission takes them.

A Brand Designed to Grow With the Church

One of the most important considerations for a church plant is longevity.

A church's brand should not only work for launch day. It should have enough depth and flexibility to serve the church for years as its ministries, community presence, and influence grow.

For Zeal, the identity provides that foundation.

The system can support future campaigns, ministry expressions, events, merchandise, church planting initiatives, and communication needs without requiring the church to reinvent its visual identity every time something new emerges.

Work Banner-2

Zeal Bible Church now has a visual identity that reflects the kind of church they are planting: biblical, bold, energetic, culturally aware, and zealous for good works. The result is more than a collection of logos and colors. It is a brand system built to help a church communicate its theology, personality, and mission consistently as it moves toward launch and beyond. For pastors and church leaders, Zeal demonstrates an important principle we believe at Design Church: Your church's brand should not simply make your church look better. It should help people understand who you are, what you believe, and why your church exists. That is what we set out to build for Zeal Bible Church.
