About the Project

VIDA Church partnered with Design Church to build a brand identity that communicates life, hope, and belonging to a rapidly growing and diverse city. Their heart was clear. Create a brand that feels modern, trustworthy, and deeply connected to the story of London, Ontario.

Design Church guided the project through a full brand strategy, identity, and digital experience process that included several key phases.

Brand Discovery and Strategy

We began by clarifying VIDA’s mission, values, audience, and long term vision. Through strategy conversations, we identified themes that shaped the identity.
• Life in Jesus as the central message
• London as home, a city filled with diversity, culture, and opportunity
• A church that is warm, multigenerational, and vibrant
• A vision focused on helping every person in London find life in Jesus

This clarity became the foundation for all creative work that followed.

Brand Identity Design

VIDA needed a visual identity that balanced approachability with strength. The goal was a look that felt inviting to families, students, newcomers, and long time residents, while still maintaining a sense of confidence and excellence.
Our identity work included:
• Logo design shaped by movement, life, and simplicity
• A modern and versatile typography system
• A color palette inspired by the character and energy of London
• Design elements and motifs influenced by the city’s skyline, neighborhoods, and cultural diversity

Voice, Messaging, and Story Development

We crafted a unified verbal identity built around hope, belonging, and purpose. Messaging pillars included:
