The Lead Development Representative (LDR) is a growth-oriented role focused on researching, identifying, and engaging potential clients for Design Church Co.—specifically church plants, ministries, nonprofits, leaders, and faith-based businesses. The LDR will generate leads, qualify prospects, initiate outreach, and hand off viable opportunities to our Sales/Account team. For every contacted lead that closes a contract, the LDR will earn a commission of 5% of the contract value for every new (first-time) client acquisition.
This role is fundamentally about bridging mission and market: finding Kingdom ventures that would benefit from our services, building initial relationships, representing our brand and values, and driving measurable growth.
- Conduct research to identify target audience segments: church plants, established churches looking to rebrand, faith-based nonprofits, Kingdom-businesses, and ministry leaders that align with our values and are in need of our services.
- Develop and cultivate a lead list: using industry databases, social media, event attendee lists, network referrals, cold outreach, and other strategic channels.
- Qualify leads: determine fit based on budget, timeline, need (branding, website, full identity, subscription service), and alignment with Design Church’s mission.
- Initiate outreach campaigns: via emails, phone, social media, LinkedIn, referral networks, and in-person (where applicable) to set up Discovery Calls.
- Serve as first point of contact for prospective clients: introduce Design Church’s story, service offerings (branding, website, strategy, Design Church+, etc.), and mission.
- Collaborate with the internal Sales/Account team for smooth hand-off of qualified leads, ensuring all information and context is captured.
- Track and manage lead pipeline: maintain accurate records in Notion CRM, monitor conversion metrics, and provide regular growth reports.
- Attend weekly team meetings: provide updates, share insights and suggest improvements to outreach strategy.
- Uphold the Design Church brand voice, positioning, and Gospel-centered values in all communications.
- (Optional/potential) Represent the agency at events, conferences, or network gatherings aligned with the Kingdom ventures ecosystem.
Required:
- Desired (and ideally proven) experience in lead generation, business development, or outreach role (ideally in creative agencies, nonprofits, ministries, or B2B environment.)
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, relational). Ability to articulate mission-driven value propositions.
- High self-motivation, disciplined follow-up, and ability to operate autonomously with a commission-based structure.
- Strong administrative, research and organizational skills: ability to build lists, identify decision-makers, track metrics.
- Alignment with Design Church’s faith-driven mission and ability to engage with church/ ministry/ Kingdom-business audiences with authenticity and respect.
Preferred:
- Current or previous experience within church/ministry settings, including church planting, design agency or branding, or faith-based sector.
- Familiarity with Notion platform, CRMs, outreach tools, and Google Workspace.
- Network or connections in church planting, nonprofit leadership, faith-based business circles.
- Ability to attend occasional in-person events or travel (if budget permits).
- Commission Structure: Earn 5% of the total contract value for every new client you bring in from your lead that closes and becomes a signed client.
- Commission is paid once the contract is signed and initial deposit is received.
- Ongoing contracts (retainers/subscriptions) may also qualify for your 5% commission for the first contract value (to be clearly defined in your agreement).
- No cap on earnings: the more high-quality leads you generate and close, the greater your earning potential.
- Be part of a mission-driven agency that blends creativity, faith, and excellence.
- Work with Kingdom-focused clients that are making a difference — church plants, ministry leaders, nonprofits, faith-businesses.
- Unlimited income potential through commission-based model.
- Flexibility to work remotely and leverage your networks and outreach skills.
- Opportunity to help shape and scale our agency as a whole — the ideal candidate will help expand our reach and impact across cities, states, and platforms.
- Join a small, nimble, brand-centric team that values clarity, intentionality, design‐forward thinking, and Gospel-centered identity.
- This is a commission-first role: the emphasis is on performance-based earnings.
- All leads must be logged in our system and must go through our qualification process to be eligible for commission. A detailed commission agreement will be provided upon hiring.
- This role aligns closely with our brand and voice: you may be asked to participate in brand trainings, understand our service offerings deeply (branding, logos, websites, monthly subscription service “Design Church+”), and be a voice for Design Church in external networks.
- Confidentiality and integrity are critical: many clients are church-plant leaders or ministry executives—professionalism and discretion are essential.
If you’re energized by the idea of generating and converting meaningful relationships, helping Kingdom ventures communicate their mission boldly through branding, and growing with a dynamic creative agency, we want to hear from you.
