By Allan Meade:
During a recent evening meeting with the Lord, He recalibrated my heart and reminded me why Design Church exists. It wasn't birthed out of ambition but out of assignment. He entrusted me with a mission: to equip kingdom ventures with brand design that points people to Jesus.
This calling is sacred. It is ministry as much as it is business. It is service before it is strategy.
Remembering the Source
Design Church was never meant to be merely a design agency. It was meant to be a place where God equips His sons and daughters through the work of my hands. He reminded me that He gave me the abilities, the vision, and the clients. This mission belongs to Him, and I am simply stewarding it.
Whenever I forget this, I drift toward striving. Whenever I remember this, I move in grace.
Clients Are People, Not Projects
The Lord impressed on me that prayer for clients must not be shaped by financial need, but by a desire to serve. He wants me to ask Him to send people who need to be equipped, strengthened, and supported. People with assignments from heaven who need branding that reflects the glory and excellence of the One they represent.
He is calling me to see every client as someone He is entrusting to me. Someone made in His image. Someone with a mission that matters. Someone who needs more than a logo—they need encouragement, clarity, confidence, and creative partnership.
When I pray for clients like that, I'm praying His heart.
Filling the Gap
Many kingdom ventures don't have access to good branding. Many don't know where to turn or can't afford what's out there. That gap is not accidental. He positioned me to fill it. He needs me to serve them with humility, not with a mindset of scarcity or comparison.
Design is not decoration—it is ministry. It shapes how the message is received. When I create with excellence for a ministry, I'm giving them tools to reach people with beauty, clarity, and confidence. That is kingdom work.
Guarding the Heart
The Lord brought scriptures to mind—Matthew 6, Proverbs 23:19, 1 Timothy 6—reminding me how subtle the temptation of wealth is. The danger isn't money itself. The danger is the drift of the heart.
Money whispers promises it cannot keep. It promises security, identity, and significance, but only God can give those. The heart can be lured away without anyone noticing. A small shift. A subtle desire. A fixation on numbers. A creeping anxiety.
But the Spirit nudges me back: money is only a tool. It is never the treasure. The treasure is Him and the people He calls me to serve.
The Daily Prayer
He called me to come before Him every single day with one prayer: "Lord, give me a servant's heart."
Not a striving heart, not an anxious heart, not a self-promoting heart. But a heart that reflects Jesus who came to serve, not to be served.
Only He can give that kind of heart. Only the Holy Spirit can cultivate humility, compassion, and generosity. He is inviting me into daily dependence—a posture that keeps my motives pure and my spirit aligned.
The Promise
The Lord made it clear that when my posture is right, He will take care of the rest. He will send people. He will open doors. He will orchestrate connections. He will bring assignments.
My role is to steward the heart, not generate the outcomes.
And when people come, my mindset must be: "Lord, how can I bless them? How can I serve them? How can my creativity strengthen their mission?"
That posture attracts the presence of God. And when His presence rests on the work, the work becomes fruitful.
Wealth for Kingdom Advancement
When He does send financial blessing—and He will—it is never meant to inflate me. It is meant to flow through me. Kingdom wealth is functional. It is for ministry. It is for generosity. It is for equipping others. It is for establishing His purposes in the earth.
Money in the hands of the surrendered becomes a weapon for good. A tool for missions. A resource for the gospel. A blessing for others. That is the kind of wealth God can trust me with.
Moving Forward
I believe that as I align myself daily with this heart posture of servanthood, the Lord will multiply my impact. Not just my clients, but my influence. Not just my business, but the fruit of it.
He will send people for me to serve. He will expand the reach of Design Church. And He will provide, not because I chase provision, but because I chase His heart.
